Sol y Luna Lodge, located in the sacred valley of the Incas, near Cusco is a great place to explore the many fascinating historical and archeological sites in the area, as well as take part in local adventures. Near trains to Machu Picchu and lower elevation than Cusco, it also makes a great alternative to the busy city.
It is home to a number of important Inca ruins including Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Maras and Moray and a convenient departure point for the fabled Macho Picchu, with trains leaving daily from nearby Urubamba and Ollantaytambo stations.
The Valley is at a lower elevation than Cusco, about an hour away by car, which makes for a gentler acclimatization to the altitude. The Valley has a mild climate within a dramatic setting of mountains, valleys and meadows, well-suited for outdoor activities such as horseback riding.
This hotel is enclosed in a red-walled courtyard surrounded by tall eucalyptus trees and green mountains. There are 28 Bungalows: 23 doubles, 3 family bungalows and 2 suites.
