  • Day 1:Arrival to Iguassu Falls You are met the airport and transferred for you hotel located in the Brazillian city of Foz do Iguassu about 18 km from the falls. Our visit begins at the Iguassu National Park Visitor's Center where we board for a drive through the lush subtropical vegetation of park en route to the falls. Stroll the trail descending the canyon that offers the most panoramic view of the more than 240 different falls. Penetrate the mist of the Devil's Throat on the main walkway. Take the glass elevator up the cliff face for a view from the upper deck. The Iguassu National Park along with its "sister" park in Argentina forms the most significant remaining Atlantic rainforest.
  • Day 2: Iguassu Falls River Safari
    Today you will be picked up at the hotel to begin a tour into the Iguassu Falls National park where you will be travelling along a 4wd road 3 km in length until a walking path to the river launch. Here you will load into sturdy zodiac style boats for an incredible trip to the devil's throat section of the falls. After that the group leave Brazil to Argentina. Crossing the Tancredo Neves Bridge with its lovely view of the Iguassu Canyon, en route to the Iguazú National Park. Visit the upper walkways which allow a different perspective and more intimate contact with the falls and adjoining rainforest filled with orchids, bromeliads, birds and other wildlife. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the abysmal Devil's Throat - largest of the waterfalls. This trip shows you the highlights of the Argentine side. Return to hotel. Thereafter you will be transferred back to the hotel. B
  • Day 3: Campo Grande and the Pantanal
    An early flight today takes you to the inland city of Campo Grande where you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the remote Pantanal lodge or similar. This lodge is located in the heart of the southern Pantanal, or great wetlands. This is the world's largest freshwater floodplain and is the most wildlife rich area of the western hemisphere. The landscape of the Pantanal is flat and open with many fragmented bodies of water which attract wildlife for drinking, feeding and hunting. You will be welcomed at the lodge an acquainted with the daily guided activities which centre around wildlife watching. BD
  • Day 4,5: Pantanal
    These days are lodge based activities which normally include a morning, mid-morning and evening excursion. There are various means such as walking, boats or horseback. You will have great opportunities to view many creatures such as caiman (small aligators), arara azul (blue parrots), capybara, jaibaru, anteaters, and hundreds more species. BLD
  • Day 6 Bonito - Boca da Onca
    After breakfast, transfer to Bonito. On the way we will stop at the Refugio Boca da Onça for a hiking tour. There is a trail through the jungle with about 5.5km (3.1 mi) with magnificient scenes on every step you take. You can see hundred-years-old trees and 12 waterfalls, including the highest of the State of South Mato Grosso, the Cachoeira Boca da Onça (Jaguars mouth waterfall) with a height of 156m (512 ft). There are several stops for a refreshing dip at natural swimming pools. Arrival in Bonito later today. B
  • Day 7: Bonito - Lago Azul Cave - Estância Mimosa
    Found by a Terenan Indian in 1924, the Blue Lake Cave is one of Earth's biggest flooded caves. In 1992 a Brazilian expedition of speleodivers found rare mammal fossils - Saber Tooth Tiger and giant sloth from the Pleistoceno Period . After, we visit to Estância Mimosa. The itinerary starts in the ranch's main house, where visitors can taste a light homemade snack with typical teas and cookies. The hiking starts through the Forest of Mimoso River, passing by nine waterfalls of various sizes and shapes. Along the way, there are seven places suitable for swims under waterfalls or in natural pools. It is recommended to keep your eyes open, since there is always a chance of observing wildlife such as macaws, toucans, monkeys, anteaters or any other among the 150 animal species already listed. Century-old trees besides ferns, orchids and bromeliads, complete this astonishing landscape. For the brave, a 6-meter high diving board from which you can jump into a natural water hole. The tour finish with a regional lunch at the main house. Return to hotel in the end of the day. B
  • Day 8:Bonito - Rio da Prata Ecological Refuge
    Transfer to Rio da Prata Refuge, for the hiking and snorkelling tour. There will be about 40 minutes hiking on a trail along the river through the forest where we will glimpse birds, wild animals and exuberant vegetation. We are accompanied by experienced guides in groups of at most eight persons. The end of the trail is around the Olho D´Agua spring. As we enter the pool we discover a new subaquatic world. There is a curious sensation of flying as we float in this immense of crystal clear waters surronded by fish and vegetation. After our adventure, we are offered a hearty meal, South Matogrosso style, at the ranch. Return to hotel in the end of the day. BL
  • Day 9: Campo Grande
    After breakfast an early transfer to Campo Grande airport for mid-day flights. B
  • Eco Travelers are well aware of the limitations of travel in developing countries and remote regions and they maintain the flexibility of attitude that goes with it. It is in the nature of most adventure ecotours to be operated with more flexibility than a standard tour.
